As of January 19 we have new versions of the iOS and Android SDKs available. We’d like to specifically address an issue with iOS 16.x, where audio distortion is observed if the phone is tethered to a Mac with XCode running. This has been resolved with the 10.9.0 Mobile SDK release. If you’ve been seeing that issue, please update to the latest version of the Mobile SDK to see improvement!
The full details on the release are below:
iOS SDK
Fixed: Bad audio quality when streaming video+audio on iOS 16
Fixed: When Subscribing to either an Audio-only or Video-only broadcast, the SDK was determining its streamingMode as Audio/Audio or Video/Video, respectively.
Android SDK
Fixed: When Subscribing to either an Audio-only or Video-only broadcast, the SDK was determining its streamingMode as Audio/Audio or Video/Video, respectively.
We recommend updating to the latest SDK releases for the best experience with Red5 Pro. To download and try out the most recent version of the SDK, log in to your account here.
