Elgato Stream Deck – OBS integration
This article goes over the proper installation to use Elgato Stream Deck with the WebRTC version of OBS Studio.
Before you install Stream Deck software, make sure you have the regular version of OBS Studio installed. Elgato has this article of how to integrate Stream Deck with OBS: https://help.elgato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028239431--Elgato-Stream-Deck-OBS-integration-
Then to configure the WebRTC version of OBS Studio do the following:
Mac Installation
Regular OBS needs to be installed on your Mac
Install Elgato software on your Mac
Open a Finder window.
Open menu Go --> Go to Folder...
Put the following folder path:
/Library/Application Support
You should see the contents of folder /Library/Application Support & a folder named "obs-studio"- make a copy (duplicate) of that folder "obs-studio" (you will be asked for your password to complete that action)
The new folder is named "obs-studio copy"
Rename it as "obs-webrtc" (you will again be asked for your password)
Launch OBS-WebRTC.
Go to Tools on the menu bar and hopefully you see Elgato plugin in the menu tools... click on it. It should simply give you info on the plugin.
Launch StreamDeck... you should be good to go!
PC Installation
Regular OBS needs to be installed on your Mac
Install Elgato software on your Mac
Go to C:\Program Files\obs-studio\obs-plugins\64bit
Copy the following two files: StreamDeckPlugin.dll and StreamDeckPlugin1.dll
Paste them in: C:\Program Files\OBS WebRTC (64bit)\obs-plugins\64bit
Launch OBS-WebRTC.
Go to Tools on the menu bar and hopefully you see Elgato plugin in the menu tools... click on it. It should simply give you info on the plugin.
Launch StreamDeck... you should be good to go!
